Hi guys!
My name is Jim. I'm 38 years old and living in the Netherlands. I was married for 7 years and divorced in 2025.
On September 29th 2017, we've welcomed our first son Leco to the world. On July 9th 2020, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, our second son Vigo was born.
Much of what you'll learn about me, you'll read in my blogs, which are a mixture of present time events and stories from my past. My slogan, "Parenting made Easy", came up during a conversation I had with a couple of bro-dads.
Everybody always seems to think I've got it easy with my sons. They've never caused a lot of sleepless nights, don't cry a lot and are, all in all, easy to handle. Multiple well-educated sources, working in the field of child development have complimented me on the way I handle nurturing issues.
I generally am laid back in the upbringing of my children and learn as much from them as they learn from me. I don't believe in any strict rules regarding parenting and I go with what feels right. I don't panic easily and I go with the flow of life.
I honestly believe that my laid-back style of parenting is reflected in my children and that this caused them to be the well-behaved, happy-go-lucky little people they're becoming.
A little more about me
I haven't always been this way though. I also have had periods of time where I wasn't sure what I was doing, or occasions where I, in hindsight thought I overreacted. Luckily, I've always found my way back to, what I believe is the right way to raise children.
I'm trying to explain my methods and principles in a couple of e-books, which I will release via this website.
Since becoming a parent, I've become a firm believer in living the right way. I want to live as long and healthy as possible, whilst still enjoying the pleasures this life has to offer. I eat right, try to work out regularly and spend time each day on mindfulness. I also work with plant medicines quite a bit. I love fine dining and exquisite wines, but I also enjoy fast food, the occasional beer and scotch.
